Pesticide Safety Seminar Course

Pesticide Safety is an 8-hour course that is offered by the National Committee on Urban Pest Control [NCUPC] for licensed Pest Control Operators [PCOs] and Certified Pesticide Applicators [CPAs] which is in accordance to the Occupation, Health & Safety [OSH] requirements of the Bureau of Working Conditions of Department of Labor & Employment [DOLE], Basic Chemical/ Pesticide Safety requirement of city health offices of local government units, and Health Circular 155 S-1975 of the Department of Health [DOH].

NCUPC, a PRC accredited [Accreditation No. 2012-003] Continuing Professional Education [CPE] Provider, is the SHE [Safety, Health & Environment] Coordinator of licensed PCOs and CPAs. 

Course Objectives:

1. The course intends to update participants on household pesticides, their proper handling [mixing and applying; and handling of equipment], minimize exposures, their toxicity, and their proper storage and disposal.

2. It also tackles on how to report poisoning incidence/s using the proper reporting procedure.
